Azerbaijan is a country located in South Caucasus region of Eurasia. It is considered part of Europe or Asia. Russia and Georgia border the country in the north, Iran in the south, and Armenia in the west. The Caspian Sea is located to the east of Azerbaijan. It is known as “The Land of Fire” with mountains, volcanoes, beaches and fascinating back streets of ancient Baku. It has become a popular destination for Pakistani tourists because of easy visas, inexpensive tickets, and so much to see and do! 

Where To Go:

Tourist often like to visit the Medieval old town and maiden tower of Baku. The medieval walled old city contains the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and iconic stone Maiden Tower.

Shaki is located in the north-west of Azerbaijan. Having a population of 63,000 people, this city is known for its history, beautiful palace, monument, and Caravanserai.

Qabala is renowned for Tufandag resort, which offers ski runs. The village of Laza is famous for its traditional stone cooked kebabs.

When To Go:

The best time to visit Azerbaijan is during the months from April to June and September to October. This will let you avoid the summer heat and sub-zero cold winters – particularly in the hilly regions. Clouds roll over Baku in October and the capital experiences rain during this month.

Tourists can participate in the Novruz Bayrami celebrations every year during the month of March, which marks the Persian New Year.
